Liberia Foundations

Our history in Liberia goes back 30 years, when Rev. Phil and Sylvia Cheale and their family lived and worked in Liberia and in neighbouring Sierra Leone. Many very special relationships with the country’s indigenous leaders have been forged during these years, in Government, commerce, community and church.

With quite a unique understanding and insight into the Liberian culture and mindset, Phil has sought to empower Liberians to ‘own’ all the projects undertaken since we started sending practical aid to the war-ravaged country in 1991.

 One Life International will help the Liberian projects to continue realising sustainability based on indigenous ownership and management.

With a network of over 3,500 graduates from the vocational training institute and 1,000 Pastors across the country, we have the potential to impact and help support the development of a 1/3rd of the Liberian population. Now!
