Developing and Equipping Schools
There is not one public library in Liberia!
The education system was decimated during the civil war.
Over 500,000 children still do not attend school and two thirds of the children that do now, are being taught by unqualified teachers.
20% of schools had been destroyed, and many of those remaining are in urgent need of repair.
All educational materials - books, stationery, classroom furnishings and equipment that we can source in the UK for shipping to Liberia, are vital to helping each student achieve their best in such hard circumstances.
The education of children and young adults, many thousand who have missed out on many years of education during the 14 years civil war, is essential for the current and future sustainability of family, community and Country.
We need all the practical educational resources that fill all our schools and often lay unused and redundant. Educational, vocational and copy books and every piece of stationery... they need it all!
Can you help Give toward our next container to help toward equipping hundreds of schools across Liberia?
