Establish Agricultural Training Academy
With Student Accommodation
Current status: We own 25 acres of prime agricultural land with stream and areas of swamp in the lower fields. This land has laid predominantly dormant for over a decade due to the civil war. Within the last few years some small clearing has been undertaken and subsistence farming undertaken by the caretaker.
Objective: We plan to provide an Agricultural Training Academy and the production of produce, to create a self-sustaining farm.
This will also have student accommodation, enabling trainees to come from all regions of Liberia to learn sustainable husbandry and return home to undertake peer to peer learning.
The land gives opportunity to create arable crops, rice paddy fields and a fish farm. All of these essential staple foods for a healthy diet and products much in demand in the markets creating the opportunity for sustainable income streams for the farm.
